  • 1 cup butternut squash, diced
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or frying pan over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground meat with salt, pepper, and cinnamon.
  3. Form the mixture into patties.
  4. Grill or pan-fry the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  5. In the last few minutes of cooking, add cheese on top of the patties if desired.
  6. While the patties are cooking, sauté the butternut squash in a separate pan until tender.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on a bun and topping with sliced apples and sautéed squash.
