  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup chopped apples
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut hole pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, and milk until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Scoop the batter into the prepared donut hole pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let them cool slightly before rolling in powdered sugar.

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, consider adding a dash of vanilla extract.
