Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in the chopped apples.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Toss warm donut holes in powdered sugar to coat.
