Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and maple extract.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. While baking, prepare the maple glaze by heating maple syrup in a small saucepan.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the warm bars and let them cool before slicing.
