Baked Ziti

A classic Baked Ziti recipe that combines delicious layers of pasta, cheese, and sauce for a comforting meal.

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ricotta, eggs, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked pasta, followed by half of the marinara sauce, half of the ricotta mixture, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cooked ground meat to the layers.
