- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for gravy)
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and cut it in until it resembles coarse crumbs.
