- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup cherries, pitted and chopped
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, and cinnamon to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and spread the cherry mixture evenly over it.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
