  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, and cinnamon to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough and spread the cherry mixture evenly over it.
  5. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  6. Place rolls in a baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes
