Chicken in White Wine Sauce

A delicious chicken dish cooked in a savory white wine sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides.
  3. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, sautéing until softened.
  5. Pour in the white wine and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, add thyme, salt, and pepper.
  7. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
