Chinese Egg Roll Recipe

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 pound ground pork or chicken
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute.
  2. Add ground pork or chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in cabbage, carrots, green onions, and soy sauce. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  4. Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
  5. Place a spoonful of filling onto an egg roll wrapper, fold and seal edges with water.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan. Fry egg rolls until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes
