  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the oil, eggs, vanilla, and milk. Mix until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool.

Notes

  • For an extra chocolatey flavor, add chocolate chips to the batter.
  • These cupcakes can be topped with your favorite chocolate frosting.
