  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 can French onion soup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  3. Season the roast with salt and pepper, then brown it on all sides.
  4. Add sliced onions and garlic, sauté until softened.
  5. Pour in beef broth, French onion soup, and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Add thyme, stir well, and bring to a simmer.
  7. Cover the pot and transfer to the oven.
  8. Cook for about 3 hours or until the meat is tender.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest before slicing.
  10. Serve with the onions and juices.
