Creamy Lemon Chicken Orzo Bake

A creamy and comforting dish that combines tender chicken and orzo in a lemony sauce, perfect for family dinners.

  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil and add orzo. Cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, cook chicken until browned and fully cooked. Remove and let rest before slicing.
  4. In the same skillet, add heavy cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Add cooked orzo and spinach, mixing well. Pour mixture into a baking dish.
  6. Top with sliced chicken and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

Notes
