  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and flour.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
