  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Divide the batter into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra indulgence, sprinkle some chocolate chips on top before baking.
  • These muffins are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container.
