  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until well blended.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until set.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, underbake slightly.
  • Feel free to substitute different types of chocolate chips.
