  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the pumpkin, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
  7. For the frosting, beat together cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread over the cooled cake.
