Homemade Pumpkin Chai Cinnamon Rolls

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground chai spice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, chai spice, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, sugar, milk, melted butter, and egg.
  4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread additional pumpkin puree evenly on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
