- 4 pieces turkey bacon
- 1 whole chicken, cut into parts
- 1 cup red wine
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large pot, sauté turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, brown the chicken pieces on all sides.
- Add onion, carrots, and garlic; cook until vegetables are softened.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Add red wine, chicken broth, tomato paste, thyme, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Return bacon to the pot, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Remove bay leaf and serve hot.
