  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a stronger matcha flavor, you can increase the amount of matcha powder.
  • Make sure not to overbake to maintain chewiness.
