Mushroom Swiss Burgers

A delicious and unique take on classic burgers featuring mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and turkey bacon.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup mushrooms, diced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté the diced mushrooms until soft.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, sautéed mushrooms, and chopped turkey bacon. Mix well.
  4. Form the mixture into patties.
  5. Grill the patties on medium heat until cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  6. During the last minute, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.
  7. Assemble burgers with buns, lettuce, and tomato.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the turkey in your favorite sauce before cooking.
