Puff Pastry Asparagus Tart

A delightful and easy-to-make puff pastry asparagus tart that the whole family will love.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, mix the ricotta, Parmesan, egg, salt, pepper, and lemon zest until well combined.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture over the puff pastry, leaving a border around the edges.
  5. Arrange the asparagus on top of the cheese mixture and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  7. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle some fresh herbs on top before serving.
