  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg (beaten)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine yeast and warm milk; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Add pumpkin, butter, egg, and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients; mix until dough forms.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough and spread with melted butter; sprinkle with a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll up tightly and slice into rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
