- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the cherries with half the sugar and set aside.
- In another bowl, combine flour, oats, remaining sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Stir in melted butter and vanilla until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Spread the cherry mixture over the crust, then crumble the remaining mixture on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before slicing into bars.
