  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  3. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and red food coloring.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter, then swirl with a knife.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the top and swirl again.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For best results, allow the brownies to chill in the refrigerator before serving.
  • These can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
