- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until combined.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla and food coloring.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour and cocoa powder, then gradually add it to the wet mixture.
- Spread half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter and swirl gently.
- Top with the remaining brownie batter and swirl again.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the batter.
- Serve with whipped cream for a decadent dessert.
