Roast Turkey With Herb Butter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened butter with herbs, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat the turkey dry, then rub the herb butter all over the turkey, including under the skin.
  4. Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan and pour the lemon juice over it.
  5. Roast the turkey for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
