- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just blended.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased cake pan, then drizzle with half of the salted caramel sauce.
- Top with the remaining batter and caramel. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger banana flavor, use very ripe bananas.
