Smashed Carrots

A delicious and simple side dish that combines the sweetness of carrots with the savory flavor of turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the carrots into even pieces.
  2. Boil the carrots in salted water until tender.
  3. Drain and return the carrots to the pot.
  4. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then chop.
  5. Add butter, brown sugar, and the chopped turkey bacon to the carrots.
  6. Smashed the carrots using a potato masher until desired consistency.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve warm.
