  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into rectangles.
  7. Place a spoonful of strawberry jam on half of the rectangles, and top with the remaining rectangles.
  8. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract to form a glaze.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies before serving.

Notes
