Swedish Meatball Pasta Bake

A delightful and easy dish bringing together the flavors of Swedish meatballs and baked pasta for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound cooked pasta
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form mixture into meatballs and place them in a baking dish.
  4. Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs and bake for 25 minutes.
  5. In the meantime, cook the pasta according to package instructions and drain.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, mix them with the cooked pasta and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Transfer the mixture back to the baking dish and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the pasta bake.
  • For extra flavor, mix in some Italian herbs.
