- 2 pounds potatoes
- 8 ounces turkey bacon
- 1 cup crème fraîche
- 2 cups Gruyère cheese, grated
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peel and slice the potatoes thinly.
- In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
- Layer half of the potatoes in a baking dish, followed by half of the bacon, half of the sautéed onions and garlic, and half of the crème fraîche and cheese. Repeat the layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can substitute regular bacon for turkey bacon.
- Ensure the potatoes are sliced evenly for consistent cooking.
