The Original Fettuccine Alfredo

The Original Fettuccine Alfredo is a classic Italian dish that combines creamy cheese and noodles.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine and turkey bacon to the skillet, tossing to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can use freshly cracked black pepper.
  • Adjust the creaminess by adding more or less heavy cream.
