Cabbage Beef and Rice Bake

A delicious and comforting dish that combines cabbage, beef, and rice into a hearty bake.

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the cabbage by slicing it into strips.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  4. Once browned, add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir well.
  5. Add the uncooked rice, beef broth, and diced tomatoes to the skillet. Mix well.
  6. Layer half of the cabbage in a baking dish, followed by the beef mixture, then the remaining cabbage on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  8. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes, until the cabbage is tender.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding some shredded cheese on top during the last 15 minutes of baking.
