- 1 medium head of cabbage
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound beef sausage
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Remove the core from the cabbage and carefully separate the leaves.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add shrimp, beef sausage, Cajun seasoning, and cook until shrimp is pink.
- Stir in cooked rice and diced tomatoes, mix well.
- Place cabbage leaves in a baking dish, and fill each leaf with the shrimp and sausage mixture.
- Roll the leaves tightly and place seam-side down in dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cabbage is tender.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add cheese on top before baking.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning.
