Pasta Shells with Ground Beef

A delightful and easy-to-make dish that combines pasta shells with ground beef for a comforting meal.

  • 12 ounces pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef, cooking until browned; drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a baking dish, combine the cooked pasta and meat sauce. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
