- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 whole wheat hoagie rolls
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Cook the turkey bacon in a pan until crispy, then crumble it on top of the chicken.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and onion to the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Serve in hoagie rolls topped with provolone cheese.
