Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

  • 2 pounds flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and sear the steak on both sides.
  2. Combine beef broth, soy sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Place sliced onions and bell peppers in the slow cooker.
  4. Place the seared steak over the vegetables.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the steak.
  6. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
